Dry natural hair can be a problem, especially if you are looking for more than just the basics. You need to have certain things like a moisturizer and an essential oil in order to keep your hair hydrated and healthy. In this article, I am going to go over 5 of the most important products that you need for dry natural hair!

In this article we are going to go over the reasons probably causing your natural hair to be dry, and then we will share with you tips to prevent that from happening and mostly the effective products that will help revive and moisturize your hair as soon as possible.

What causes dry natural hair?

  • also eating too much protein is another reason this could happen because if your scalp doesn’t get nutrients then that will lead to the hair being weaker.

Ways to prevent dry natural hair:

  • limit how often you wash your hair
  • drink more water
  • shampoo less and only when needed. (daily if necessary)
  • use a deep conditioner or oil to maintain moisture in the hair shaft for at least 20 minutes before washing it off with cool water, this will help seal the moisture into the shaft of the hair and give better results over time.

use gentle products like eco styler gel that are not too heavy on natural oils so they don’t break down as quickly giving them an opportunity to be absorbed by your scalp which is what’s important because ultimately healthy looking strands start from there.

You can also keep up with heat treatments like steamers, hot water rinses, etc., which will all help restore some of the moisture in those strands!

Shea butter/cocoa butter:

these are both good alternatives if argan oil isn’t available or your budget doesn’t allow for buying expensive oils like argan oil). Cocoa butter also has benefits apart from just restoring moisturize – The fatty acids, antioxidants, polyphenols found in cocoa beans make them one of the most effective ingredients against wrinkles and stretch marks (not sure how relevant this would be on a natural hair blog, but I just wanted to mention it).

My favorite oil right now has got to be jojoba, it really just does wonders on my natural curls (and I’ve used other ones before). Oils are also one of the best ways you can nourish any type of hair without weighing it down too much.
